Core Duties and Responsibilities: |
Quality Management Skills: · Develop and implement quality management strategies, policies, and procedures. · Establish and maintain ISO quality management systems or other relevant certifications. · Conduct regular audits and inspections to monitor compliance with quality standards. · Analyse production processes, materials, and finished products for potential quality issues. · Investigate customer complaints and implement effective corrective actions.
Leadership and Team Management Skills: · Lead and manage the quality team, providing guidance, training, and motivation. · Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence throughout the organisation.
Process Improvement Skills: · Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing processes. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product quality and operational efficiency. · Implement quality control measures to prevent defects and improve Right First Time
Communication and Relationship Management Skills: · Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. · Communicate quality metrics and performance to senior management regularly. · Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and supply chain teams.
Data Analysis and Reporting Skills: · Utilise data analysis techniques to identify trends and areas for improvement. · Prepare and present quality-related reports, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis Skills: · Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement effective corrective actions. · Proactively address quality challenges and prevent reoccurrence of defects.
Compliance Skills: · Stay updated with relevant industry standards and regulations. · Work with the business Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, etc).
Organisational and Time Management Skills: · Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. · Maintain attention to detail while upholding high-quality standards.
Customer Focus Skills: · Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively. · Prioritize customer satisfaction while ensuring product quality.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: · Utilise data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities. · Implement quality control processes to reduce waste and rework.

· Proven experience in a quality management role within the packaging industry or related manufacturing field. · Demonstrated track record in successfully implementing quality control processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. · Experience in leading quality teams and fostering a culture of quality excellence. |
Skills/Knowledge |
· In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing). · Strong understanding of packaging manufacturing processes and related quality challenges. · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions. · Proficiency in data analysis and quality metrics reporting. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels. · Knowledge of relevant industry standards and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, etc).
