Job Description

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our fast-moving consumer goods company. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery and equipment are properly maintained to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability and efficiency of all machinery and equipment
• Manage a team of maintenance technicians and provide guidance and support as they perform routine maintenance and repairs
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities and minimise disruptions to production
• Monitor and analyse equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement preventive maintenance measures
• Oversee the procurement of spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in the FMCG or packaging industry
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• In-depth knowledge of maintenance best practices and techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and maintenance standards
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred

Day-to-day

• Conduct regular meetings with maintenance team to review performance and address any issues
• Collaborate with other department managers to optimise maintenance schedules and minimise downtime
• Review and approve maintenance budgets and expenditures
• Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to maintenance operations
