Responsibilities

As General Manager, you'll have full accountability for managing site operations while championing innovation and employee engagement. Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Operations Management: Oversee and optimize production, maintenance, and engineering processes to ensure operational excellence.
  • Health & Safety Leadership: Drive a culture of safety compliance, ensuring a secure, inclusive environment for all employees.
  • Team Empowerment: Lead and develop a diverse workforce through strong engagement, training, and talent development initiatives.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and enhance KPIs focused on quality, efficiency, and safety.
  • Environmental & Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee that all operations adhere to applicable regulatory and sustainability standards.
  • Strategic Growth: Develop and implement creative, data-driven solutions that enhance customer satisfaction, increase service levels, and achieve financial goals.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a skilled professional with the following profile:

  • Experience: Proven experience in packaging or process manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on engineering and operational leadership.
  • Commercial Acumen: Solid experience in commercial functions, including P&L accountability and strategic business planning.
  • Technical & Leadership Strengths: Ability to tackle technical engineering challenges while providing strategic foresight in leadership roles.
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrated success in achieving continuous improvement, cost efficiency, and high-quality production outcomes.
  • Innovation-Minded: Enthusiastic about implementing scalable, forward-thinking solutions that benefit both the organization and its customers.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Strong ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a dynamic and diverse team.

Day-to-Day

  • Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing site, ensuring seamless production schedules.
  • Work hands-on with engineering teams to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and proactively address technical challenges.
  • Conduct daily performance reviews, tracking safety compliance and KPIs to adjust short-term strategies.
  • Lead regular team meetings and training sessions to develop and inspire employees at all levels.
  • Partner with other stakeholders to plan and execute long-term initiatives in sustainability, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.
