Position Summary:
The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and maintainability of equipment and systems within the company. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing reliability-centered maintenance strategies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime, reduce costs, and optimize performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background with a focus on reliability, maintenance, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement reliability engineering strategies, including predictive maintenance, preventive maintenance, and condition-based monitoring, to ensure equipment uptime and performance.
  • Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks, equipment failures, and areas for improvement.
  • Analyze historical maintenance data and performance trends to identify patterns and propose actionable solutions to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to prioritize reliability issues and implement corrective actions for equipment failure.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and problem-solving related to equipment reliability and performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of critical assets and systems, ensuring they meet or exceed reliability targets and KPIs.
  • Utilize reliability software tools and data analytics to monitor equipment health and track performance metrics.
  • Work with engineering and design teams to incorporate reliability principles into new equipment designs and modifications.
  • Participate in the development and execution of reliability and maintenance training programs for operators and maintenance staff.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to reliability standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in all reliability-related activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, including predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and failure mode analysis.
  • Ideally proficiency with reliability software tools and data analytics platforms.
  • Solid understanding of asset management and maintenance strategies such as RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in equipment reliability and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing reliability issues before they impact operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ideally experience with reliability software platforms such as SAP, Maximo, or similar.
  • Ideally knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
