My client are looking for a Technical Sales Representative to cover accounts in the Northern region of England.

This is a remote role with 50% of your time with customers, 40% based in the office and 10% based at home. We are looking for someone with a strong technical bias who has great internal and external customer facing skills. We need someone to come on board and help drive technical and service resource for customers, driving creativity and innovation.
To provide and deliver customer cost saving projects (internally and externally) meeting the agreed SA Plan with the Sales Director and Technical Manager.
Key job requirements
• Agree Strategy for selected customers with Technical Sales Manager.
• Meet agreed targets as laid out in the Customer Strategic Account Plan.
• To facilitate and drive margin enhancement projects
• Provide professional representation to customers
• Ensure that existing business is retained.
• To provide other customers and external sales team with technical assistance wherever and whenever required.
• To maintain constant contact with the customers relevant R&D/Packaging technology departments regarding ongoing projects.
• To evaluate and recommend design changes to current styles of packaging, to increase run ability through our manufacturing process.
• The job holder has a key responsibility to ensure that selective customers technical & service needs are met along with any other customer which is felt would benefit from re-design or amendments.
• Creativity is fundamental in the role to find new, different and better methods of packaging.
The job holder must possess:
• A strong technical knowledge of carton board or corrugated packaging lines within FMCG companies and an idea or knowledge of the CAD system would be advantageous
• To work in collaboration with the Design Team on specific products and concepts to increase margin
• Good commercial and technical awareness of the packaging industry
• A creative, innovative, problem solving mentality
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good presentation skills
• Full Driving License
